MLB: Atlanta 12, Houston 4

ATLANTA, July 31 (UPI) -- Kelly Johnson went 4-for-4 with two home runs and five RBI Tuesday as the Atlanta Braves pounded the Houston Astros 12-4.

The Braves' offense also benefited from Brian McCann's homer and four 4RBI, and Jeff Francoeur's homer and three RBI.

Atlanta's Chuck James (9-8) got the win after giving up four runs on six hits in five innings.

Lance Berkman homered and Craig Biggio drove in a pair of runs for the Astros, who have lost three of their last four games. Houston starter Chris Sampson (7-8) allowed five runs on nine hits in four innings.
