MLB: Seattle 14, Oakland 10

SEATTLE, July 29 (UPI) -- Adrian Beltre had a three-run homer, four RBI and three runs scored Sunday afternoon, as the Seattle Mariners out-slugged the Oakland Athletics, 14-10.

Ben Broussard -- who didn't play until the sixth inning -- had two hits, including a two-run homer, and three RBI.

Ichiro Suzuki singled in the second inning for his 1,500th career hit, to become the third-fastest player in major league history to reach that mark.

Sean Green (4-1) earned the win with a scoreless inning of relief.

Jarrod Washburn started for Seattle and pitched five innings, allowing five runs on five hits.

Nick Swisher and Mike Piazza each drove in three runs and Shannon Stewart added a solo home run and two RBI for the Athletics, who have lost four of their last five games.

Huston Street (2-2) took the loss, allowing four runs and three hits in two-thirds of an inning.
