HAMBURG, Germany, July 28 (UPI) -- Anders Romero shot a career-best, 9-under-par 63 Saturday, grabbing the lead through three rounds of the Deutsche Bank Players Championship in Germany.

The native of Argentina is 17-under 199 after 54 holes, and will carry a two-stroke lead over second-round co-leader Zane Scotland of England (66) into Sunday's final round the historic Gut Kaden golf course in Hamburg in search of his first win on the European Tour.

"I'm going out to play tomorrow just as I did today and hope it will be as good for me," Romero said through an interpreter. "I heard it was a good course, so decided to come here (and) I am glad I have. I am going into the final round as the leader."

Friday's other co-leader, Lee Slarrery, also from England, is second at 15-under 201.

Sweden's Alexander Noren (65) is fourth at 13-under 203.
