HAMBURG, Germany, July 27 (UPI) -- Zane Scotland and Lee Slattery share the lead after two rounds of the European Tour's Deutsche Bank Players Championship at Hamburg, Germany.
In Friday's second round, the fellow Englishmen, both seeking their initial victory on the tour, finished 9-under-par 135, with Scotland shooting a 4-under 68 Friday, and Slattery coming in with a 3-under 69.
"I'm playing well," said Scotland. "I've been playing well for a couple of months now, and the way the first two days have gone, there's no reason why I can't carry on. I am enjoying this little stretch and will try and keep the momentum going."
"It was like four seasons in one day out there and that messes with your concentration levels," Slattery said about the weather conditions.
England's Oliver Wilson (70) and Argentina's Andres Romero (68) tied for third at 8-under 136.
First-round leader Simon Khan (80) dropped into a tie for 93rd place at 1-over 145.
