MARKHAM, Ontario, July 27 (UPI) -- Steve Allan and John Mallinger shared the second-round lead Friday at the Canadian Open, at 10-under 132, a shot ahead of Vijay Singh and Tripp Isenhour.

Singh, who won the event in 2004, shot an impressive 6-under 65 to move into contention.

Allan carded a 68 that included back-to-back birdies on the sixth and seventh holes and six consecutive pars at Angus Glen Golf Club.

Mallinger shot a 66, with three birdies on the back nine.

The cut fell at 1-under-par 144 and claimed 2002 champion John Rollins and Joe Ogilvie, who won last week's PGA event in Milwaukee.
