
BALTIMORE, July 26 (UPI) -- Brian Roberts hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the eighth Thursday afternoon in helping Baltimore top Tampa Bay, 10-7, completing a three-game sweep.
Roberts' seventh homer this season came with two outs and provided Baltimore a five-run cushion at 10-5.
Baltimore also got two RBI from Chris Gomez, Nick Markakis, and Kevin Millar. Brandon Fahey had two runs and three hits, while three players had two hits for the Orioles, who won four in a row.
The winner was reliever Rob Bell (3-1).
Tampa Bay's Ty Wigginton and Carlos Pena both hit solo home runs.
In all, seven players drove in one run, while B.J. Upton and Carl Crawford had two hits each for the Devil Rays, whose losing streak rose to six straight games.
Losing pitcher Edwin Jackson (2-10) gave up six earned runs and seven hits in 3 1/3 innings.
