MLB: Cincinnati 7, Milwaukee 3

CINCINNATI, July 25 (UPI) -- Jeff Keppinger hit a three-run double in a four-run first inning Wednesday, helping the Cincinnati Reds beat the Milwaukee Brewers 7-3.

Cincinnati also got one RBI each from Scott Hatteberg, Ryan Freel, Norris Hopper and Brandon Phillips in just its second win in six games.

Winner Kyle Lohse (6-12) yielded two runs -- one earned -- on five hits in 5 2/3 innings, and David Weathers recorded his 20th save.

Milwaukee's Craig Counsell, Bill Hall and Prince Fielder all had one RBI. Kevin Mench had a run and two hits for the Brewers, who have split their last six games.

Losing pitcher Jeff Suppan (8-9) surrendered five earned runs and 11 hits in five innings.

Cincinnati shortstop Pedro Lopez was carted off the field in the eighth inning after being hit in the face by a pitch by Matt Wise. The Reds also lost catcher David Ross in the fourth with a dislocated right pinky finger.
