MLB: Chi Cubs 6, Arizona 2

CHICAGO, July 20 (UPI) -- Aramis Ramirez scored the go-ahead run and sealed the decision with a three-run home run Friday in the Chicago Cubs' 6-2 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Chicago trailed 2-1 heading into the bottom of the sixth when Mike Fontenot started a rally with a two-out single. He stole second and scored on a Ramirez single. Ramirez reached second on an error and made the score 3-2 when Jacque Jones singled to tag the loss on Brandon Webb (8-8).

Ramirez added a three-run home run in the eighth inning, giving him 12 hits, 12 RBI and five runs scored in his last six games.

Arizona managed just four hits off Cubs starter Jason Marquis (7-5) and two relievers. Marquis lasted 7 2/3 innings and gave up both Arizona runs on a home run by Chris Young in the fifth inning.

The inning before the Cubs had taken a 1-0 lead with a single by Jones that drove in Fontenot.
