Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

MILWAUKEE, July 17 (UPI) -- Tony Graffanino had a double and a home run Tuesday, powering the Milwaukee Brewers to a 3-2 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Corey Hart and Johnny Estrada each had an RBI for the Brewers, who have won four straight.
Claudio Vargas (7-2) worked five innings for Milwaukee and gave up two runs on five hits. Francisco Cordero pitched a scoreless ninth to record his 30th save.
Eric Byrnes went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles and RBI for the Diamondbacks, who have lost eight of their last 10 games. Arizona's Yusmeiro Petit (1-2) gave up three runs on eight hits in five innings.
