MLB: Chi. Cubs 12, San Francisco 1

CHICAGO, July 18 (UPI) -- Koyie Hill knocked in five runs Wednesday afternoon as the Chicago Cubs ripped San Francisco, 12-1.

The second-year catcher hit a two-run double in the fourth and a three-run double in the fifth.

Four other players had one RBI, while Angel Pagan and Mark DeRosa had two hits each for the Cubs, who have won four of their last five games.

Carlos Zambrano (12-7) combined with Sean Gallagher on a six-hitter. Zambrano yielded two hits in five scoreless innings, and Gallagher gave up a run and four hits in four relief innings.

Jacque Jones' fielding error on a ninth inning single by Kevin Frandsen led to San Francisco's lone run. Frandsen had two hits for the Giants, who had snapped a five-game losing streak Tuesday night.

Giants' slugger Barry Bonds missed his third straight game.

Loser Matt Cain (3-11) yielded six earned runs and four hits in four innings.
