Tommie Harris' wife dies

BASTAD, Sweden, July 9 (UPI) -- Top-seeded and defending champion Tommy Robredo was upset Monday by Luis Horna in the opening round of the clay-court Swedish Open.
Horna took the up-and-down match 6-1, 1-6, 6-1 to end Robredo's Swedish Open winning streak. Robredo won the event last year by beating Nikolay Davydenko.
Third-seeded Jarkko Nieminen also was knocked out, dropping a 6-4, 6-2 decision to Olivier Rochus.
No. 4 Carlos Moya claimed a 6-2, 6-4 win over Ivan Navarro Pastor and fifth-seeded Filippi Volandri rallied for a 4-7, 7-5, 6-1 victory over Federico Luzzi.
Also Monday, Nicolas Almagro got past Filip Prpic, 6-1, 3-6, 6-1; Lukas Dlouhy downed Michael Ryderstedt, 6-1, 6-4; and Nicolas Massu topped Evgeny Korolev, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4.
