COMMERCE CITY, Colo., July 8 (UPI) -- John Wolyniec Sunday scored the lone goal in the 19th minute as New York beat Colorado, 1-0, in an MLS contest at Commerce City, Colo.
The victory stopped New York's two-game skid.
The last time the Red Bulls (7-5-3) had a win -- before Sunday -- was June 6 at Toronto. They had three losses and a draw since then.
Sunday's win allowed New York to end a three-game road swing on a positive note -- after they were shut out in the first two games.
The loss continued the Rapids' recent misery. Colorado (4-8-5) has an eight-game winless streak, with two draws in that span.
Its last victory was May 26, 1-0 against Los Angeles.
New York is home to New England Saturday, while Colorado's next game is July 22 at Kansas City.
