DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., July 7 (UPI) -- Kyle Busch beat Kevin Harvick by a car length Saturday, capturing the Busch Winn-Dixie 250 auto race at Daytona Beach, Fla.

Busch led 65 of the 102 laps.

The race at the Daytona International Speedway was run in a light rain. It was postponed Friday night because of rain.

"We should have won this thing back in February," said Busch, referring to the Nextel Cup's Daytona 500. "But it all starts here, I guess."

Dave Blaney came in third, with Tony Stewart fourth and Clint Bowyer fifth.

Pole-winner Jason Leffler brought the field to the green flag to start the race. He had to bounce back from a near-disastrous start to finish ninth.

In the Busch series points chase, Carl Edwards is the front-runner with 2,966 points. Harvick (2,168) is second. David Reutimann (2,095), Blaney (2,056) and Leffler (2,033) round out the top five.
