"I thought I was going to be more nervous when I played today seeing my name popping up the leaderboard," Edberg said. "I stayed pretty calm (but) if there's going to be a crowd out there tomorrow, I may get nervous."

His second round included six birdies and just one bogey.

Montgomerie, an eight-time Order of Merit winner, shot 6-under 64 with seven birdies and a bogey.

Fasth (68) had four birdies and two bogeys.

David Frost (66) and Simon Khan (67) are tied for fourth at 6-under 134.
