LOS ANGELES, July 4 (UPI) -- Andruw Jones homered and Chipper Jones singled in two runs Wednesday as Atlanta ended a three-game skid with a 5-2 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Yunel Escobar added three hits and an RBI for the Braves, while Chuck James (8-7) gave up four hits and a run over five innings to capture his second straight start.

Bob Wickman worked out of a ninth-inning jam for his 15th save.

Mark Hendrickson (2-4), who had not started a game since May 31, took the loss. He surrendered two runs on seven hits over five innings. The Dodgers had won their three previous games.

The homer by Jones was his 14th of the year and came in the seventh inning for the last run of the game.
