CINCINNATI, July 1 (UPI) -- Ryan Ludwick hit two homers, driving in four runs Sunday, as St. Louis whipped Cincinnati 11-7.

His heroics put a damper on the day for Cincinnati's Ken Griffey Jr., who hit his 585th career home run, a three-run blast in the third. Griffey moved within one homer of former Red Frank Robinson for sixth place on the all-time list with his 22nd homer of the season. Ludwick has six.

Chris Duncan had three hits -- one a two-run homer in the sixth -- while Albert Pujols had two runs and one RBI,. So Taguchi added two runs, three hits and one RBI for the Cardinals, who have split their last four.

The winner was reliever Troy Percival (2-0).

David Ross and Brandon Phillips hit solo homers for Cincinnati. Phillips scored three times and drove in two, while Norris Hopper had two runs and two hits for the Reds, who have dropped three of four.

The loser was Homer Bailey (2-2).
