
MIAMI, July 1 (UPI) -- Josh Willingham hit an RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning Sunday as the Florida Marlins beat Atlanta, 6-5.
There was one out when Willingham recorded his second RBI and fifth hit of the contest.
Miguel Olivo hit a solo homer, his seventh round-tripper this season, to tie the game, 5-5, in the bottom of the ninth.
Jeremy Hermida had two hits -- one a two-run homer in the fourth -- and three RBI, while Miguel Cabrera had a run and two hits for the Marlins, who avoided a three-game sweep.
The winner was Lee Gardner (2-2).
Atlanta's Yunel Escobar and Edgar Renteria had two RBI each. Andruw Jones hit a solo homer in the seventh -- his 13th homer this season -- while Matt Diaz and Jarrod Saltalamacchia also had two hits for the Braves, who had a five-game winning streak snapped.
The loser was Rafael Soriano (2-1).
