MLS: FC Dallas 0, Houston 0 (draw)

FRISCO, Texas, June 30 (UPI) -- Houston and FC Dallas played to a scoreless draw Saturday in a Major League Soccer contest at Frisco, Texas.

Both teams took three shots on goal in the hard-hitting, defensive-oriented contest.

The draw ended the defending MLS champion Dynamo's five-match winning streak, and left them three points behind the first-place Hoops in the Western Conference.

Houston is 7-5-2, while FC Dallas is 8-6-2.

The Hoops had won three of four matches since losing 2-1 to Houston June 3.

FC Dallas is home to Chivas USA Wednesday, and Houston is home to New York Thursday.
