SEATTLE, June 27 (UPI) -- Jose Lopez hit an RBI double in the bottom of the 11th inning Wednesday to help Seattle edge Boston 2-1 and complete a three-game sweep.
His game-winning hit scored Ichiro Suzuki, who opened the inning with a walk. Suzuki had two hits, including an RBI single in the bottom of the third to account for Seattle's other run.
The winner was Jason Davis (2-0). Seattle starter Ryan Feierabend yielded five hits in five scoreless innings with two walks and three strikeouts as Seattle won its fifth game in a row.
Coco Crisp's seventh inning sacrifice fly scored Boston's only run. Crisp had two of the seven hits for the Red Sox, who were swept in a series for the first time this season.
The losing pitcher was former Mariner Joel Pineiro (1-1).
Boston starter Daisuke Matsuzaka gave up an earned run and only three hits in eight innings with a walk and eight strikeouts.
