MLB: Kansas City 1, LA Angels 0

ANAHEIM, Calif., June 27 (UPI) -- Mark Teahen drove in the game's lone run Wednesday with an RBI single in the third inning as Kansas City nipped the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 1-0.

His hit scored Joey Gathright, who had reached on a bunt single and moved up on a walk to David DeJesus.

Despite getting only five hits, the Royals extended their winning streak to four after completing a three-game sweep at Angel Stadium.

Winner Jorge De La Rosa (5-9) scattered 10 hits over six scoreless innings with one walk and one strikeout.

David Riske, Joakim Soria, and Octavio Dotel all pitched one inning, with Dotel recording his eighth save.

Chone Figgins, Howie Kendrick and Orlando Cabrera all had two hits for the Angels, who had won three in a row before the sweep.

Loser Jered Weaver (6-4) was charged with an earned run and four hits in seven innings with a walk and six strikeouts.
