Bruins continue housecleaning

BOSTON, June 27 (UPI) -- Jeff Gorton, who had been in the front office of the Boston Bruins for 15 years, was fired Wednesday.

Gorton had been the team's assistant general manager for the past seven seasons. He was the latest to fall victim to a house cleaning by the Bruins, who dismissed Coach Dave Lewis after one year on the job and replaced him with Claude Julien.
