MLB: Baltimore 3, NY Yankees 2

BALTIMORE, June 26 (UPI) -- Ramon Hernandez walked with the bases loaded in the ninth inning Tuesday, giving the Baltimore Orioles a 3-2 victory over the New York Yankees.

Scott Proctor (1-5) started the ninth for New York and walked Corey Patterson to open the inning. Brian Roberts followed with single. An out later, Proctor walked Nick Markakis to load the bases and followed with the walk to Hernandez to force in Patterson.

Baltimore starter Jeremy Guthrie pitched 6 1/3 innings and allowed two runs on seven hits, while striking out six and walking one. Chris Ray (4-5) earned the win with a scoreless ninth.

Patterson went 3-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored for the Orioles, who have won four of their last six games.

Johnny Damon hit a two-run homer for the Yankees.
