CARSON, Calif., June 24 (UPI) -- Chad Marshall, Ned Grabavoy and Alejandro Moreno scored Saturday night as the Columbus Crew beat the Los Angeles Galaxy, 3-2, in Major League Soccer action.
Eddie Gaven had two assists for the Crew, which won back-to-back games for the first time this season.
Gavin Glinton and Edson Buddle scored for the Galaxy, which has yet to put together back-to-back wins this season, and has won just one of its last seven games.
Marshall put the Crew ahead, 1-0, in the 15th minute, and Grabavoy made it 2-0 in the 58th minute.
Glinton cut the lead to 2-1, scoring with a diving header in the 66th minute.
Moreno gave the Crew an insurance goal in the 84th minute, but his score turned out to be the difference in the game as Buddle scored for LA in injury time.
The Galaxy played without Landon Donovan, who is with the U.S. National team preparing for Sunday's Gold Cup final, while Columbus was missing its top defender, Frankie Hejduk.
