MLB: Arizona 7, Baltimore 4

PHOENIX, June 24 (UPI) -- Eric Byrnes' home run touched off a three-run fifth inning for Arizona Saturday night as the Diamondbacks beat Baltimore, 7-4.

Mark Reynolds finished off the big inning for Arizona with a two-run triple, as the Diamondbacks bailed out starter Livan Hernandez -- who gave up four runs on nine hits in four-plus innings.

Juan Cruz (3-1) got the win, pitching two scoreless innings in relief, and Jose Valverde earned his 24th save.

Orioles' starter Brian Burres gave up four runs on four hits and five walks in 4 1/3 innings.

Rob Bell (0-1) took the loss, giving up four hits and three runs in one inning.

Freddie Bynum hit a two-run homer for the Orioles, who had won three straight coming into the contest.
