'Pacman' Jones surrenders to police

LAS VEGAS, June 22 (UPI) -- Suspended Tennessee Titans defensive back Adam "Pacman" Jones surrendered to Las Vegas police Friday and was booked on two counts of felony coercion.

The charges stemmed from a nightclub brawl that preceded a shooting involving the cornerback during the weekend of the NBA All-Star Game in February.

Jones is charged with coercion for the battery, biting of and interference of a bar bouncer who was attempting to protect other patrons and employees. Police reports also said Jones threatened to kill the bouncer.

A man was paralyzed after the shooting, while two others suffered minor injuries.

Jones was suspended for the entire 2007 season by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

Jones surrendered to the Clark County Detention Center early Friday, posted a $20,000 bail and was released.

If convicted, the felony charges carry a maximum prison sentence of 12 years and a fine of $10,000.
