COLUMBUS, Ohio, June 20 (UPI) -- Second-half goals by Eddie Gaven and Stefani Miglioranzi Wednesday gave Columbus a 2-1 victory over Kansas City.

It was only the second victory in 12 matches for the Crew this season.

Columbus took a shutout into stoppage time before Jack Jewsbury got one past goalkeeper Will Hesmer.

Columbus remains in last place in the Eastern Conference, a point behind Toronto. The goal by Gaven was his first since last October.
