BIRMINGHAM, England, June 17 (UPI) -- Jelena Jankovic of Serbia rallied Sunday to beat Russia's Maria Sharapova in the final of the weather-plagued DFS Classic at Birmingham, England.

The rain finally held off Sunday and allowed play to be completed at the Wimbledon tune-up. One quarterfinal needed to be finished before the semifinals and championship match were held.
