Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

LUMBRES, France, June 16 (UPI) -- Carl Suneson, seeking his first European Tour win, had a 1-under 70 Saturday to take a one-shot lead after three rounds of the European Tour's Open de Saint Omer.
Suneson, who was one of three second-round leaders, completed 54 holes at 6-under-par 207.
The third round was completed despite gusting wind and occasional heavy rain.
Marcus Higley, who shared the second-round lead with Suneson and Peter Fowler, posted an even-par 71 to finish alone in second place at 208.
Fowler struggled to a 3-over on the back nine and shot a 1-over 72. He was tied in third at 209 with Mikael Lundberg (71). Stuart Davis and Francois Calmels are one stroke further back at 210.
