MLB: LA Dodgers 2, LA Angels 1

LOS ANGELES, June 16 (UPI) -- Derek Lowe allowed four hits over seven innings Friday night and the Los Angeles Dodgers edged the Los Angeles Angels, 2-1.

The Angels had swept the Dodgers in in a three-game set in Anaheim last month, out-scoring the Dodgers, 19-4.

Lowe (7-6) gave way to Jonathan Broxton in the eighth and Takashi Saito worked his way out of trouble in the ninth for his 19th save.

Luis Gonzalez singled home the Dodgers' two runs in the sixth as Ervin Santana fell to 5-7. He is 1-6 on the road.
