SALT LAKE CITY, June 14 (UPI) -- A goal by Dominic Oduro in stoppage time Thursday night gave FC Dallas a 1-0 victory over Real Salt Lake.

Dallas has 22 points and a six-point lead over second-place Houston in the Western Conference.

Dario Sala gave Dallas its first shutout in 19 games. Oduro scored for the second time this year.

Salt Lake is winless in its first 10 games.

Prior to the match, Salt Lake defender Eddie Pope announced he would retire from Major League Soccer at the end of the season. Pope, 33, has played in 237 MLS games.
