Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
BALTIMORE, June 15 (UPI) -- Orlando Hudson keyed a five-run eighth inning with a three-run homer Friday night as the Arizona Diamondbacks rallied for a 7-3 victory over Baltimore.
Baltimore took a 3-0 lead in the sixth, but the Diamondbacks benefited from the long ball in the late innings.
In addition to Hudson's homer in the eighth, Chris Snyder hit a solo shot during the same inning. Augie Ojeda added a two-run blast in the ninth, boosting Arizona to its second win in eight games.
Doug Slaten (3-0) got the win with one inning of relief. The loss went to Todd Williams (0-2), who came on for starter Erik Bedard.
The Orioles have dropped six in a row.
