Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft

BALTIMORE, June 14 (UPI) -- Ryan Zimmerman singled in the go-ahead run in the eighth Thursday night as the Washington Nationals handed Baltimore its fifth straight loss, 3-1.
Jason Simontacchi (4-4) worked in and out of trouble, giving up nine hits through seven innings, giving the Nationals their fifth win in six games. Baltimore stranded 11 base runners.
Baltimore starter Jeremy Guthrie surrendered only one run in seven innings. The loss went to reliever Chad Bradford (0-3), who entered a tie game in the eighth and promptly surrendered the winning run.
Cristian Guzman opened the eighth with a single and went to second on a sacrifice by Felipe Lopez. Zimmerman then singled up the middle to bring Guzman home.
