CINCINNATI, June 14 (UPI) -- A two-run single by Vladimir Guerrero highlighted a six-run seventh Thursday as the Los Angeles Angels rallied to defeat Cincinnati, 9-7.
The comeback allowed Bartolo Colon (6-2) to pick up the victory. He had two losses and a no-decision in his three previous outings, after having won five in a row. He gave up five runs on seven hits in six innings.
With the Angels trailing, 5-3, Reggie Willits and Erick Aybar walked to start the seventh. Gary Majewski (0-1) replaced Homer Bailey on the mound and Chone Figgins promptly singled to load the bases.
A walk to Orlando Cabrera forced in one run before Guerrero singled in two more to put the Angels in front.
Mike Stanton came on to pitch and gave up a sacrifice fly to Gary Matthews Jr. that brought in Cabrera. Casey Kotchman singled home Guerrero and, two batters later, Jose Molina delivered Kotchman with a base hit.
