MLB: Washington 7, Baltimore 4

BALTIMORE, June 12 (UPI) -- Ryan Zimmerman and Brian Schneider each hit two-run homers Tuesday as the Washington Nationals beat the Baltimore Orioles 7-4.

Ryan Church added a solo homer and Felipe Lopez drove in two runs for the Nationals, who have won three of their last four games. Micah Bowie (3-2) earned the win while giving up three runs on three hits through six innings.

Miguel Tejada's leadoff homer in the ninth off Jesus Colome brought Baltimore within three runs. However, with the tying run at the plate, Chad Cordero got Paul Bako to hit into a game-ending double play for his ninth save of the season and the 100th of his career.

Melvin Mora hit a three-run home run for the Orioles, who have lost eight of their last 10 games. Losing pitcher Daniel Cabrera (5-7) allowed seven runs on seven hits in 4 2/3 innings.
