MLS: New York 2, Toronto 1

TORONTO, June 6 (UPI) -- Juan Pablo Angel scored twice Wednesday, pacing New York to a 2-1 victory over Toronto.

Angel has scored in four straight games and the victory gave New York (6-2-2) 20 points in 10 games.

Toronto's goal came from Jeff Cunningham. It was his first since being traded to Toronto May 21.

Toronto was in front at halftime, but Angel produced his goals in the 69th and 71st minutes. New York moved into first place in the East, a point in front of Kansas City.
