ELMONT, N.Y., June 6 (UPI) -- Curlin, which won the Preakness Stakes, was made a 6-5 early favorite ahead of Saturday's Belmont Stakes in New York, the final Triple Crown race of the year.

Kentucky Derby winner Street Sense, which finished second in the Preakness, was pulled from the race last month, leaving a field of seven for the Belmont.

Curlin, third in the Kentucky Derby, has won four of its five career starts and drew post slot No. 3. The horse will be ridden by Robby Albrarado in the Belmont.

Kentucky Derby runner-up and Preakness third-place finisher Hard Spun was set at 5-2 and given post 6.

Rags to Riches, the first female horse in the Belmont since 1999, was an early 3-1 contender and will start out of post 7.

Also set for the Belmont is Imawildandcrazyguy (post position 1, 20-1 odds); Tiago (post position 2, 10-1 odds); C P West (post position 4, 12-1 odds) and Slew's Tizzy (post position 5, 20-1 odds).
