After Wellman was ejected in the bottom of the third inning, he covered home plate with dirt, removed and tossed third base, crawled from behind the mound, and finally grabbed a rosin bag at the pitcher's mound and tossed it toward home plate -- shouting at the umpires all the while, The Chattanooga Times Free Press reported.
The game was stopped again in the fifth inning when Braves' pitcher Kelvin Villa was ejected for putting a foreign substance on the baseball.
"We found evidence on the ball and (Villa's) hat," said chief umpire Jeff Latter.
The Braves lost the game, 7-6. Wellman has not commented, and there was no immediate reaction from Southern League officials.
Wellman's antics have shown up on YouTube.com, and been watched -- so far -- by thousands of people.
