WASHINGTON, June 2 (UPI) -- Justin Germano yielded three earned runs and six hits in six innings Saturday night as the San Diego Padres routed Washington, 11-3.
San Diego had a 6-0 lead before Germano threw a pitch.
Rob Bowen had a hit and four RBI. Paul McAnulty hit a two-run homer and drove in three runs; Khalil Green had three runs, four hits and one RBI; Germano had two hits and one RBI; Kevin Kouzmanoff had two runs, two hits and one RBI; and Marcus Giles added an RBI single for the Padres -- who have won three of four.
Germano (4-0) did not walk a batter and fanned one.
Washington's Dmitri Young hit a two-run homer, but failed in his quest for a ninth straight hit.
Ryan Zimmerman drove in the other run, and Christian Guzman had a run and two hits for the Nationals, who had won their previous two games.
The loser was Levale Speigner (1-2).
