CHICAGO, May 30 (UPI) --
Two home runs and four RBI from Dan Uggla
Wednesday keyed Florida's 9-0 blasting of the Chicago Cubs that finished off a three-game sweep.
It was the first time in franchise history the Marlins had swept a series at Wrigley Field.
Miguel Cabrera and Josh Willingham also homered for Florida, which scored twice in the first inning and then relied on its relief corps to deliver a five-hit shutout.
Florida starter Sergio Mitre had to leave the game with a hamstring cramp he suffered while running the bases in the fifth inning. Randy Messenger (1-1) took over and got the win while giving up two hits in two innings. Renyel Pinto, Justin Miller and Lee Gardner each worked an inning for the Marlins.
Ted Lilly (4-3) gave up six runs on seven hits in seven innings. It was his first loss since April 20.
