ARLINGTON, Texas, May 26 (UPI) -- Coco Crisp singled in the go-ahead run in a five-run sixth inning Saturday as the Boston Red Sox posted a 7-4 win over the Texas Rangers.
Manny Ramirez was 4-for-4 with an RBI and a run for Boston. Kevin Youkilis extended his hitting streak to 18 games, going 2-for-4 with an RBI and scoring twice.
The Red Sox won for the seventh time in their last 10 games and moved 11 games ahead of second-place Toronto in the American League East.
Tim Wakefield (5-5) allowed five hits and four runs through seven innings to get the victory.
Jonathan Papelbon escaped a jam in the ninth for his 12th save.
Vicente Padilla (2-7) gave up five hits and six runs 5 1/3 innings for the loss.
Gerald Laird had a two-run double for Texas, which has lost four in a row.
