MIAMI, May 23 (UPI) -- Abraham Nunez drove in the go-ahead run in the 10th inning with a two-out single Wednesday as Philadelphia overcame a bizarre ninth to down Florida 8-7.
The Phillies gave up a four-run lead in the bottom of the ninth, had their catcher and manager ejected from the game and lost their closer to a strained right shoulder.
Philadelphia scored three times in the top of the ninth to take a 7-3 lead and then saw things unwind with closer Brett Myers on the mound.
Myers gave up two bloop singles, a two-run triple and a sacrifice bunt that produced a run, while failing to get an out.
After recording a strikeout, Myers hit a batter, got another strikeout and then gave up a single on which Florida's Hanley Ramirez slid home under the tag of catcher Rod Barajas. Both Barajas and Manager Charlie Manuel were kicked out of the game for arguing on the play.
Myers then threw a wild pitch, on which he suffered the strained shoulder. Clay Condrey came on to relieve and got the Phillies out of the inning.
