LOS ANGELES, May 21 (UPI) -- Quarterback Mitch Mustain has transferred from Arkansas to Southern California.
Mustain, who won all eight of his starts at quarterback for Arkansas as a first-year freshman in 2006, has enrolled in summer school at USC. Mustain will have to sit out his 2007 sophomore season because of NCAA transfer rules.
The 6-foot-3, 205-pound quarterback was one of the top recruits in the country before going to the Razorbacks. He passed for 894 yards with 10 touchdowns and nine interceptions with the Razorbacks, but then lost his starting job to Casey Dick.
They both played quarterback in a loss to Wisconsin in the Capital One Bowl.
Dating back to his junior high school days, Mustain has a 60-2 record as a starting quarterback.
Damian Williams, a former teammate of Mustain's at Springdale High School in Arkansas, also transferred from Arkansas to USC.
