NHL: Anaheim 2, Detroit 1 (OT)

DETROIT, May 20 (UPI) -- Teemu Selanne scored unassisted at 11:57 of overtime Sunday as Anaheim slipped by Detroit 2-1 in Game 5 of the NHL's Western Conference finals.

Selanne also assisted on a game-tying goal by Scott Niedermayer scored with 47.3 seconds remaining in regulation.

Jean-Sebastien Giguere stopped 36 of 37 shots for the Ducks, who lead the best-of-seven series 3-2 and can wrap it up with a victory in Game 6 Tuesday in Anaheim.

Andreas Lilja scored the Red Wings' lone goal at 6:13 of the second period with Daniel Cleary assisting. It was his first career playoff goal.

Detroit goalie Dominik Hasek made 24 saves on 26 shots.

Ottawa awaits the eventual winner for the Stanley Cup title.
