MLB: LA Angels 4, LA Dodgers 1

ANAHEIM, Calif., May 20 (UPI) -- Kelvim Escobar scattered three hits over eight scoreless innings Sunday, leading the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim to a 4-1 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The win gave the Angels a sweep of the three-game inter-league series and a season-high five-game win streak overall.

Escobar (5-2), coming off his worst performance of the season, struck out five batters and walked two, before Francisco Rodriguez struck out the final Dodgers batter for his 13th save of the season.

Vladimir Guerrero ended 2-for-4 with an RBI and scored a run for the Angels, who have beaten the Dodgers five straight times in Anaheim. Casey Kotchman ended 2-for-4 with an RBI in the win.

Jeff Kent doubled in the lone run for the Dodgers. Derek Lowe (4-5) gave up four runs -- three earned -- on nine hits with six strikeouts in eight innings for the Dodgers. He did't issue a walk.
