
CLEVELAND, May 19 (UPI) -- Brandon Phillips and David Ross both hit three-run homers Saturday, powering Cincinnati to a 10-5 inter-league victory over Cleveland.
Jeff Conine collected three hits, driving in two runs and scoring another for the Reds. Phillips and Ken Griffey Jr. both scored twice, and two runs scored courtesy of an error and a passed ball for the Reds, who have split their last four games.
Winner Matt Belisle (4-3) yielded four earned runs and 10 hits in 5 2/3 innings, while David Weathers recorded his eighth save of the season.
Travis Hafner and Jhonny Peralta each hit solo homers for Cleveland. Trot Nixon had two hits and one RBI, and Victor Martinez had one run, three hits and two RBI for the Indians, who had a four-game winning streak snapped.
Losing pitcher Jeremy Sowers (0-4) was tagged for seven earned runs on eight hits in six innings.
