ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., May 18 (UPI) -- Aaron Boone hit a grand slam homer in the second inning Friday, boosting Florida to an 8-4 inter-league victory over Tampa Bay.

Reggie Abercrombie had two hits and drove in two runs to help the Marlins win for the third time in four games.

Byung-Hyun Kim (2-2) got the win in his first start for the Marlins. He was acquired from Colorado last weekend for Jorge Julio and gave up three runs on six hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Tampa Bay got two solo homers from Ty Wigginton, but starter Edwin Jackson (0-6) continued to have his problems. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, giving up six runs on seven hits.

The Devil Rays had won their previous four games.
