BRIDGEVIEW, Ill., May 17 (UPI) -- Goals by Kenny Cooper and Juan Toja boosted FC Dallas into first place in the Western Conference Thursday with a 2-1 win over Chicago.

Dallas handed Chicago its third straight loss as the Fire played without leading scorer Chris Rolfe, who suffered a sprained ankle last weekend in a game against Toronto.
Cooper scored in the 24th minute on a penalty kick after he collided with goalkeeper Matt Pickins.
A one-timer by Toja in the box gave Dallas a 2-0 lead in the 60th minute.
Chicago's goal came from Calen Carr, his first of the season, in the 72nd minute.
