WASHINGTON, May 17 (UPI) -- Felipe Lopez had three hits Thursday including a sixth-inning triple that knocked in the winning run in the Washington Nationals' 4-3 win over Atlanta.
The Braves led 3-2 heading into the bottom of the sixth when Jesus Flores led off with a double. Flores moved to third on a sacrifice and tied the score on a pinch-hit single by Dmitri Young.
Lopez followed with a triple to left-center to give the Nationals the lead and their fourth win in five games. The shot came off Atlanta reliever Chad Paronto (2-1).
Washington's Matt Chico (3-4) allowed three earned runs and five hits in six innings with two walks and one strikeout. John Rauch earned his third save of the season, and second in the series.
Chipper Jones hit a two-run home run in the fourth inning for his 11th homer of the season. Matt Diaz had two hits and one RBI for the Braves, who have dropped four of five overall.
