WASHINGTON, May 13 (UPI) -- Cristian Guzman and Jesus Flores knocked in two runs apiece Sunday afternoon as the Washington Nationals beat Florida, 6-4, completing a three-game sweep.
The victory followed a long Saturday night in which Washington won, 7-3, on a walk-off grand slam homer by Ryan Zimmerman in the bottom of the ninth.
That contest included 3 ½ hours of rain delays.
Guzman had two hits, including a two-run triple, Sunday. Flores had a run and two hits; one run scored on a fielder's choice groundout; and one scored on an error by Miguel Cabrera for the Nationals -- who have split their last six.
Jason Simontacchi (1-1) gave up four runs -- three earned -- and eight hits in 5 1/3 innings.
Jason Wood, Joe Borchard, Alfredo Amezaga and Aaron Boone drove in a run; while Dan Uggla had a run and two hits for the Marlins -- who have lost seven of nine.
The losing pitcher was starter Wes Obermueller (1-2).
