ARLINGTON, Texas, May 13 (UPI) -- Nelson Cruz smacked a solo, walk-off homer with one out in the bottom of the ninth Sunday, lifting Texas to a 7-6 win over Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

The game was a homerun derby with a combined eight four-baggers by the two teams.

Ian Kinsler and Brad Wilkerson both hit two-run homers and Hank Blalock added a solo shot for Texas. Mark Teixeira extended his hitting streak to 11 games for the Rangers, who lost the two previous games in the three-game series.

The winner was Eric Gagne (1-0). He pitched a scoreless ninth for his first win since June 10, 2005.

Gary Matthews Jr. hit two homers, one from each side of the plate, and drove in four runs for the Angels. Shea Hillenbrand and Mike Napoli hit back-to-back solo homers. Matthews and Casey Kotchman had three hits each for the Angels, who had their four-game winning streak snapped.

The loser was Scot Shields (0-2).

Angels reliever Hector Carrasco and Manager Mike Scioscia were ejected in the seventh.
